Maybe some of you have seen the videos on YouTube of Tom and his BlendTec blender. The videos are called “Will It Blend?” and feature Tom chopping, smashing and blending all sorts of objects (some suggested by fans) all to prove that the BlendTec can blend ANYTHING!
But that’s not all Tom has blended. His videos are among the most viewed on YouTube and Tom says that sells blenders! Many of his videos have been passed around the net by those who just get a kick out of them. Now radio stations are buying the blenders and using them to destroy more objects and generate more publicity for themselves and for BlendTec.
And the videos have spawned imitators and “vleeches” who use the tag “blendtec” to try to get people to view their YouTube productions. A phenomena caused by throwing crazy stuff in a blender and having the marketing sense to record the moment and slap it on YouTube.
